Jennifer Elster performs FUN FUTURE? with Sugar Vendil on piano at The Retrospective of an Extroverted Recluse.
Elster performed FUN FUTURE? at The Retrospective of an Extroverted Recluse in May of 2016 in an effort to raise awareness of the looming nuclear danger. As many of us know, in January the Atomic Scientific Bulletin announced the Doomsday Clock was set forward to two and a half minutes to midnight (the latest it has ever been), due to a "rise of 'strident nationalism' worldwide, Trump's comments over nuclear weapons, and the disbelief in the scientific consensus over climate change by the Trump Administration.
“Like most of us, I am worried about the future of this country and the world. In these divided times, we need to come together even more so. Each one of us has the power to create a better world. Person by person. Individually and collectively. We can make a change. We shouldn't allow anger and hate to dominate this beautiful planet. It can get so much worse if we convince ourselves that our own footprint will not make a difference.”
