"The beauty of our time is that we are being unearthed to grow together. To learn. To find our collective strength and see how far we can take it."

DIRECTORY
The series embarks on a strange excursion into the labyrinthine minds of her subjects where pathways always recede. The parameters of filmmaking are stretched to explore new ways of telling a story. ...In the Woods (and Elsewhere) errs on the side of risk and penetrates what is often unspoken. The series exposes the complexities of existence and reveals the essence of the subjects.
Season one of …In the Woods (and Elsewhere) will be announced at the official site IntheWoodsandElsewhere.com.

Different people stop by. It's peculiar.
NOTE FROM ELSTER
"So much to end up here. For years I obsessively filmed subjects, examining existence, and exploring crevices in the psychological underground. I return, in all instances, to a compulsion to penetrate depth while playing with the boundaries of filmmaking with a brave and daring CAST. Getting lost in a complex mental state was part of the way. Instability had come into my frame many times, as did joy. The results are an unabashed look at the wilderness of getting through... and whatever else. The post-production on the film series has been a deep and nutritional experience and a journal here.
I also hand sculpt accessories which have become the J. ELSTER collection.
Announcements for upcoming gallery events and world premieres of film series, behind-the-scenes material, and inside information, will be delivered to your inbox. So sign up. I will never share your email or information with anyone." - Jennifer Elster
